General Information & Marina Services
Port Médoc is a well-sheltered marina on the north-westerly end of the Gironde estuary, north of Bordeaux. It is a very well serviced marina with a charming waterfront of restaurants and cafes, within walking distance of pristine beaches on the Atlantic coast, where you will find it easy to berth in any weather, all-year-round.
Having picked up a morning croissant from the boulangerie you can take to the water in one of many ways, you can take a sailing course, try jet-skiing, or for something more tranquil: paddle boarding. The estuary of the Gironde offers an exceptional mix of scenery and sailing, being close to the open ocean and the Île d'Oléron and Île de Ré. After a day at sea working up an appetite, Le Bistrot du Port presents freshly made dishes perfect with a glass of médoc.
Nestled among acres of forest, the town of Le Verdon sur Mer is peaceful and welcoming. Many kilometres of cycle paths extend through the woods, and bikes can be hired from the marina. Meanwhile, the terraces of vineyards are a constant reminder of this region's wonderful produce.
