The Crew Coach Leadership Training Receives ILM Accreditation
Independent yacht crew leadership training and career development specialist, The Crew Coach, is delighted to announce that their superyacht-specific online leadership training for senior crew has been awarded formal accreditation with the UK's Institute of Leadership & Management, part of the City & Guilds Group.
Learners who complete the full online training including all modules and coursework can now apply for an internationally recognised ILM Continuous Professional Development certificate, meaning this investment in their personal development has real value in the professional world beyond yachting. In addition to this, all learners receive free access to the ILM student resouce library during their programme, giving them a wealth of further invaluable resources and information.
"Apart from the positives of smoother operations and increasing overall crew morale and productivity, extending practical leadership skills reinforces a crew leader's reputation as a valuable and effective employee and helps protect their investment in their career to date" says Alison Rentoul, founder of The Crew Coach.
"ILM certified training is known worldwide as a mark of quality and shows prospective and current employers your commitment to performing your role to the highest standards of professionalism and performance onboard your yacht. Subscribing to our Leadership Advantage Training library is a sound investment in having a successful season with harmonious crew and happy guests." Rentoul adds.
The Crew Coach Leadership Advantage program offers senior crew the opportunity to expand and refine their existing leadership skills and gain powerful new techniques, enabling them to make subtle changes with far-reaching effects. Composed of four individual courses comprising the equivalent of four full days of live training in an easy to use online platform, the courses are broken up into short video training modules and each course contains a downloadable workbook.
The curriculum builds on the core priniciples established in the new HELM leadership training and takes these even further, giving people broader learning with real life examples in an actual superyachting context. Where HELM teaches senior crew ‘what’ is important to know as a leader, this training shows people exactly ‘how’ to implement these concepts in a very practical way, with a core focus on getting real results.
Access to The Crew Coach Leadership Advantage online training library is available on subscription, and learners can also choose to invest in additional implementation coaching with professional development expert, Alison Rentoul.
City & Guilds is the biggest name in vocational education, with two million learners embarking on a qualification every year. The ILM is the UK’s largest management body, with the aim of developing leadership and management capability and knowledge in individuals and organisations. They are an internationally recognised authority in defining, promoting and helping people and organisations to meet the highest standards in leadership and management and their development.
