Penum Yacht Interior Mentor Program
We are excited to launch the “Penum Yacht Interior Mentor Program”.The goal of this informal program, is to connect established Yacht Interior Managers/Chief Stews with Second Steward/esses and other aspiring Yacht Steward/esses.
At Penum, we feel lucky to be supplying Yacht provisions to talented and experienced Interior Crew that are happy to give back to the industry.
What can you expect in the Penum Yacht Interior Mentor Program?
MENTEE: The benefit for the Mentee, is to gain a buddy, that’s made it, in the Yachting industry. Be connected by email, and gain a contact to ask advice on “stepping up to Chief Stew”, course must-haves, gaining experience in different roles, minimum acceptable time worked on Yachts for cvs etc.
MENTOR: The benefits of mentoring are many! Share your knowledge and help your buddy avoid those mistakes you made early on in your Yacht steward/ess career. Volunteering is a fantastic way to show your ability to lead and help others, above and beyond your immediate work environment. By sharing your knowledge, you are assisting a junior stew along their yachting journey. The time you can spare in mentoring is completely at your discretion.
How to Apply:
If you are interested in applying as a mentee, or if you are already a Chief Stew and are interested in mentoring, please contact Ellie Barker on the following email: mentor@penum.com
Please include in your email: a few details about yourself, your current position, and why you would like to be in the program. We have limited places available at the moment, but are hopeful to expand and grow the program after this first phase.
This goodwill program has no cost, or contracts, just connecting those with knowledge, with those wanting to move on up.
Enthusiastic and positive young steward/esses please apply!
