Explore Thames - Free Interactive App
British Marine Thames Valley has re-launched its interactive Explore Thames App, developed to engage visitors to the River Thames, highlighting local landmarks, pubs and marine businesses.
This innovative, interactive iOS App is for anyone visiting the River Thames, featuring detailed images of locations along the Thames, a user-friendly interface and a live Twitter feed. With fantastic graphics, it has been re-designed in line with the new British Marine branding to give it a much cleaner look.
The App uses geolocation to point out the nearest lock, landmark, pub, restaurant or hotel, and it can also be used by cyclists, walkers and people fishing along the river.
British Marine Thames Valley Chairman, Mike Cook, commented: “We have refreshed our user friendly guide for the River Thames using the latest technology. The App is free and has been especially well received by boat owners and river users. Alongside the British Marine ‘Look for the Logo’ campaign, this is a great example of how British Marine Thames Valley is promoting member businesses to consumers.”
The App is fully compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPad mini range of Apple devices on iOS6 or later, and is also compatible with all iOS mobile devices.
If you are one of the many visitors to the River Thames each year, this is the app for you!
Explore Thames is FREE to download on all mobile iOS devices from the Apple App store.
