The Trend for Customisation of Jetskis
There is an ever increasing trend for yachts to have all onboard equipment matching in terms of branding. Long gone are the days when tenders, toys and equipment clashed in different colours and were stamped with the conspicuous logos of manufacturers. In a world where everyone wants to offer clients the absolute best, customising tenders and toys is now a big part of the business which is why Superyacht Tenders and Toys (SYTT) has brought customisation in-house.
Frustrated over the lack of superyacht-quality companies who could customise to the standard required, as well as the expense that this entails, bringing customisation in-house means their own team can handles all design, specification, painting, upholstery, custom lifting points, tuning and more.
The day-to-day customisations are predominantly on jetskis, due to their popularity and relative low cost, with almost all superyachts having several onboard. Jetskis have always been some of the brighter and more garish yacht toys on the market and they're ideal candidates for a makeover. Rarely does the SYTT workshop not have custom skis in build.

With the most powerful Seadoo offering 300hp and a top speed in excess of 70mph, this is enough for some but, for those wanting that little something extra, SYTT are able to offer 4 different upgrades. The most popular model for tuning is the Seadoo RXP-X 300, as this is the highest performing ski available from Seadoo, the brand outselling Yamaha 3:1 in Europe.
-
Standard model – 72mph @ 8,000 RPM
-
Riva Stage 1 kit – 75 mph @ 8,000 RPM
-
Riva Stage 2 kit – 80 mph @ 8,300 RPM
-
Riva Stage 3 kit – 83 mph @ 8,500 RPM
-
Riva Stage 3 PLUS – 85 mph @ 8,800 RPM
Taking performance to a whole new level, they can also provide a full carbon ski with a remapped 300hp to create 360hp. SYTT delivered some of these to M/Y Faith, one of the largest Feadships afloat and a previous winner of ‘Motoryacht of the Year’. These skis were able to go from 0-60mph in just 3 seconds and were delivered onboard with full warranty.

As well as performance there's a growing appetite for luxury extras. This is not purely cosmetic or constrained to upholstery. Previous projects have included some of the following:
-
Extra seating comfort and suspension
-
iPad mounts for navigation
-
Teak decking
-
Coolers
-
Stereo speakers
-
Navigation lights
-
Fish finders
-
Go Pro mounts
-
Integrated storage and safety equipment and more.

There has long been an issue around jetskis having approved and certified lifting points, with many yachts using the under the rail steel bars from Seadoo or Yamaha, or getting shipyards to manufacture their own. These have a tendency to slip and, in extreme cases, the ski can fall out.

With a safety-first approach Superyacht Tenders and Toys fit the only rated, certified and approved lifting kit in the industry. This is certified up to 700kg safe working load and can be provided with all load proof testing. They fit into the gunnel rail of the ski, which is the strongest part, and they have a quick snap and twist fitting.
Superyacht Tenders & Toys create the best value, quality custom jetskis and yacht toys on the market so please get in touch with any enquiries.
