From Naples to Castellammare: Routes for Charter

The third edition of the event 'By Tourist on the Sea' is scheduled from the 4 -7 May 2015 from Naples to Castellammare di Stabia.

The event is organized by the company By Tourist, with guests, charter brokers and tour operators, engaged in three days of excursions along the coast, to promote marinas, beautiful locations and flavors of the Campania coast. The Marinas involved are: Marina Molo Luise in Mergellina and Stabia Main Port, the new marina in the old town of Castellammare di Stabia.

"An initiative fully supported by entrepreneurs from Campania" - said Luisa Del Sorbo, creator and organizer of the event  "The first year we sailed in the Sorrento peninsula, the second edition we moved between the Amalfi Coast and the area of Stabia, this year we will depart from Miglio D’Oro Park Hotel in Ercolano, therefore in the shadow of Vesuvius to move from the city of Naples to the city center of Castellammare di Stabia”

The event was created in 2013 with the objective of strengthening trade relations in tourism among the three most important sectors of the National economy: Charter and Maritime Agencies, 4 and 5 star luxury hotels  and Italian and foreign tour operators. The event has developed considerably in a short period, to the point where we can count on the participation of prestigious names in the superyacht field, with charter brokers coming from Monaco, Zurich, London and Fort Lauderdale. Among them: Ocean Independence, KK Superyacht, Luxemarine, All worldwide yacht, Charter World and many others.

Among the partners of the event there are the leading companies in the maritime, tourism and gastronomy fields. From the Maritime Agency Luise Associates to Stabia Main Port (new port in the old town of Castellammare di Stabia, adjacent to the 28 hot springs, UNESCO Heritage). From The Bikini in Vico Equense to the starry restaurant Il President in Pompeii,  the Marine Protected Area of ​​Punta Campanella to Marina di Chiaiolella, and the Miglio D’Oro Park Hotel to the archaeological site of Herculaneum.

This year's program therefore includes the arrival on Sunday, 3^rd May of a team of Italian and foreign superyacht captains that will visit the Palumbo Shipyard in Naples, combining the technical meeting with a walk in the historic center of Naples, a guided visit  to Naples underground and dinner with Neapolitan pizza to Sorbillo 38.

The Miglio D’Oro Park Hotel of Ferlaino family will host the captains on the 5^th May with a course on maritime security.

During the 6^th of May are scheduled meetings aimed at business with the charter companies and tour operators in the luxury sector. Participants include: Marinas, luxury hotels, restaurants, and travel companies,  with previous accreditation, of course.

Which are the routes of the Charter Brokers? Their itinerary starts with a visit to the archeological site of Herculaneum a few meters from the Miglio D’Oro Park Hotel. Next will be a stop to the Embassy of the Gran Caffè La Caffettiera in Piazza De Martiri, where the patron Guglielmo Campajola will illustrate the techniques and developments in the world of coffee, with the collection of Cuccume and artistic works of the Master "Compasso D' Oro" the architect Riccardo D'Alisi.

On Thursday, 7^th May the brokers will admire the Campania coast, from Naples to the Terme di Stabia, with 28 hot springs it's a Unesco World Heritage site, from the decks of  SY Silver Star, run by Plaghia Charter.

Departure will be from the Marina Molo Luise.

Visiting the Marine Protected Areas, navigating from port to port tasting local specialties with renowned chefs, and traveling by boat or luxury car, just as their VIP customers would".

The Motor Yacht Silver Star will accompany the guests along the coast, recognizing latitude and longitude of the landing points, but especially exploring the potential the coastline has to offer anyone traveling this area by sea.

A light lunch will follow with a fascinating talk at the Bikini Bay given by Giorgio Scarselli. He will present guests to the archeological site of Stabia and the presentation of the Royal Bourbon Shipyard of Castellammare di Stabia, today Fincantieri. He will, of course not forget the site of  ancient Pompeii, which will also be the inspiration for the meal, a tasting menù with the old recipes of Pompeii before the eruption of Vesuvius, thanks to the Michelin-starred chef Paolo Gramaglia of the restaurant Il President.

Super yachts invited, through inspections and itineraries of captains and brokers, to sail on the coast of Campania region during the summer or maybe during the winter, to berth or have repairs at one of the many professional shipyards, such as the shipyard Palumbo, already active in the field and which  will be presented as one of the tour stops.
