Day 4: There is a beautiful rural village called Ravello, comparatively unspoilt by the tourist industry, that is well worth a visit. The drive to the village passes along meandering country roads, with beautiful vineyards and olive groves along the way. It is well worth the drive to experience the magnificent views, and a good lunch in a local restaurant is recommended to allow you to take in the stunning natural beauty.
The village has a lovely cathedral and a history museum constructed in the basement of the cathedral. Along the narrow arcade of Via Roma one will find a few small boutiques and local restaurants with a cuisine quite different from those close to the sea; Cumpà Cosimo, Da Salvatore, Villa Maria, Villa Amore, etc, are all exceptional.
Return to the yacht for a rest and some relaxation time this afternoon. Perhaps anchor in the bay off Salerno and just enjoy the water toys and relax.
Day 5: This morning head ashore early to visit one of the best preserved Greek temples in the Mediterranean situated at Paestum. There are three very famous historical and cultural sites on this coast and there is always debate as to which are the best. Pompeii is certainly the most well known however Paestum is also very famous.
They are all close together so the captain can organize a car to take you to whichever you prefer. Spend a morning exploring one of these sites and return to the yacht for lunch, while setting sail for Positano. This is an amazing seaside town which clings to an almost vertical cliff side. You may like to indulge this afternoon in a spa treatment at either Le Sirenuese Tel: +39 089 87 50 66 or Il San Pietro Tel: (+39) 089 875 455, both of which also offer excellent high quality restaurants.
Day 6: Enjoy a leisurely morning or head ashore to explore the markets in Positano. An afternoon visit to the Island of Ischia where you can anchor off the very fashionable San Angelo port and its diverse selection of restaurants and boutiques.
Day 7: Ischia is famed for its healing spa waters so head out to Negombo in the town of Lacco Ameno. This is one of the best spas on the island and is situated on a beautiful bay with a private beach and swimming pools of different temperatures. There is also a beauty centre where you can enjoy a range of treatments. Return to the yacht for lunch. This afternoon you may wish to take a short tour of this beautiful island. Stop at Pietratorcia vineyard where you can taste the wine and sit down under the cool pergola.
Day 8: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and a swim before returning to Naples.
