A Superyacht in Crisis: Are you Prepared?

A superyacht has suddenly become involved in a crisis which has the potential to escalate and you or your organisation are directly or indirectly affected - are tou prepared? Do you have the knowledge and confidence to handle it?

On Tuesday 25th September the Isle of Man SuperYacht Forum (IOMSF) is hosting a conference to explore this topic at the Metropole Hotel in Monaco, consisting of a number of presentations and interactive panel sessions.

The event will commence with on screen breaking news coverage of a crisis onboard a yacht with examples of the media coverage of similar incidents. A range of emergency response scenarios will be discussed including grounding, collisions, pollution, fire, injury and crew and passenger issues.

This will be followed by a panel discussion with specialists representing sectors of the industry that are likely to be involved in such a crisis, including a presentation about the ever growing threats to cyber security.

The ability to handle the media in a rapidly evolving crisis situation is also vital, and this will be addressed in a media response tutorial involving the audience.

Finally there will be a presentation on the current status of Brexit and how the Isle of Man may be affected before the event concludes with lunchtime drinks, canapes and networking.

This event will benefit all those involved in the duty of care and safe management of a superyacht but places are limited!
