AcqueraPro Launches Smartphone App
Following its successful launch earlier this season, the innovative digital platform AcqueraPro is now available as a mobile app for iOS users: the first of its kind within the industry.
Accessible via desktop, tablet and mobile, the platform provides instantaneous access to all of the information captains and crew need when arriving at a port. This includes all of the necessary forms and paperwork, as well as insider information and local tips for each destination, helping crew to create unforgettable itineraries for owners and guests in a matter of seconds.
As an ever-evolving platform which is continually being updated to meet the needs of its users, we take a look at some of AcqueraPro’s coolest features which are currently saving crew countless hours of work on board.
Effortless fleet management
One of AcqueraPro’s latest functionalities is its yacht management option. Aimed primarily at management companies and charter brokers, this allows users to manage multiple yachts using a single account, helping them to keep on top of all of the latest port requirements and track all of the expenses and planned activities for each yacht using a single dashboard.
Thanks to this feature, charter managers can create tailored fleets which they can add to, update, monitor and manage remotely using a single screen, resulting in major time savings for AcqueraPro’s users.
Making berth booking a breeze
Currently spanning more than 140 ports across the whole of the Mediterranean, the launch of AcqueraPro as a mobile app will open up the platform to an even broader audience.
As Alvise Tositti, Chief Strategy Officer at Acquera Yachting explains: “Although we have only been live for a few weeks, we are seeing so much demand from clientele that we have decided to keep on adding ports to our database and in the next month we will be adding another 24 locations.”
Client feedback for the platform has already been overwhelmingly positive, with 90% of current users (crew members on operational yachts) stating that they prefer to book their berths via AcqueraPro than using traditional methods.
Among the features currently streamlining berth bookings, AcqueraPro gives users instant access to all key berthing information and specifications, port/marina expense calculations, local operational information, and the ability to request a berth and receive a rapid response.
When in Rome…
One of AcqueraPro’s best and most popular features is its ability to generate custom itineraries for each destination, with activities chosen with care to match the unique interests of each owner and their guests.
Whether it’s culture, history, sport or haute cuisine, the suggested activities are a cut above what you could find on Google or Tripadvisor. So you can see for yourself, here is a sample of the activities generated by AcqueraPro for a day in the incomparable Italian capital of Rome.
Morning - A Private Tour of Vatican City
Begin the day in Rome with an unforgettable experience crossing the walls of the Vatican City by limousine using one of the Vatican’s private entrances – Perugino Door or The Gate of Sant'Anna (Porta Sant'Anna) – usually reserved for use by the authorities.
This experience includes a transit along the private Vatican routes, with the opportunity to access unauthorized places which are prohibited to the public and tourists, offering plenty of surprises along the way. Guests can enjoy a walking experience along the Vatican’s private roads, as well as exclusive access to St. Peter’s Basilica through a private entrance.
Lunch - Armando al Pantheon
Leaving St. Peter’s Square behind, the iconic avenue of Via della Conciliazione takes guests to Castel Sant’Angelo and its stunning star shaped garden. Crossing the bridge, breathtaking views of the fortress offer an unforgettable postcard-perfect view of Rome.
Walking across Navona Square and past the institutional palaces of the Italian Senate on Piazza Madama, Armando is an absolute must for local connoisseurs and visitors looking to indulge in local Roman cuisine at its best.
Still preserving its ‘old school’ atmosphere, this historic restaurant offers an absolute guarantee of authentic quality, as well as the best traditional Roman flavours, in combination with its spectacular location overlooking the magnificent Pantheon. At the end of lunch, guests can enjoy a traditional espresso while taking in the views, before enjoying a shopping spree in the afternoon.
Afternoon - Shop like a Roman
Explore unusual paths and high-end stores in the heart of Rome. Guests will be accompanied by a private shopping guide who will take them to hidden artisan shops, trendy boutiques, and to visit the finest local designers and artists. It is the best way to enjoy Rome’s narrow alleys and cobblestone streets, away from the tourist areas. This experience can be modified according to the client’s requests and will satisfy even the most demanding of shoppers.
Aperitivo - Mirabelle at Hotel Splendide Royal
Enjoy a relaxing limousine ride along the legendary Via Veneto before reaching one of the most romantic terraces in the world for a scenic aperitivo. This is an evocation of the iconic ‘dolce vita’ way of life, where absolute beauty is an inspiration for all of the senses. As many wise Italians say: ‘You should never go out for dinner on an empty stomach’ – and this is why aperitivo is not just one of life’s pleasures, but a lifestyle.
Dinner – Aroma at Palazzo Manfredi
A short limousine ride back to the heart of the historic centre offers guests the ideal finale to their day in Rome, as the city’s evening lights reflect against its beautiful terraces and piazzas. An unbeatable view of the majestic Colosseum frames guests’ Michelin Star dining experience at Aroma Palazzo Manfredi, as the perfect finish to an unforgettable day in the Italian capital.
