bunker buoy Reaches Milestone of 100 Fuel Suppliers
bunker buoy, the worldwide bunkering app platform has reached a major milestone, with over 100 physical fuel suppliers now registered since the move away from traders.
bunker buoy provides direct and instant access to fuel suppliers via the app, enabling captains and chief engineers to request quotes and order fuel worldwide via the instant messaging option. Detailed information of full transaction history, including any instant messaging correspondence, is recorded and available to email to any third party.
bunker buoy is the only platform allowing you to purchase fuel directly from physical fuel suppliers, including marinas.
Neil Miller, ex director of Yacht Fuel Services and founder of bunker buoy, comments:
‘’If you qualify as a physical fuel supplier so that yachts do not have to go through a trader, the yachts will be directed to the port, marina or supplier, for their fuel bunkering, via the app. When clients are paying the amounts they do for a superyacht berth, it makes sense for the marinas to provide fantastic customer services and to cut costs in other areas. If the marina has the ability to supply fuel representing the supplier, they are permitted to register on bunker buoy as a physical fuel supplier. This development has been enormously popular since the transfer from traders to suppliers and we are looking forward to continued developments and upgrades in 2016.
We are in the process of launching our marina ring fencing for the platform, enabling early adopters to benefit from each yacht captain that comes within the ring fence. The captain will receive a message direct to their iPhone, welcoming them to the marina, and highlighting space, availability and any other offers.
Captains can now download the worldwide bunkering app and benefit from information, bunkering and services at the swipe of their iPhone screen.’’
