Charter Brokers Discover the Magic of Campania
International charter brokers have concluded their tour of southern Italy's Campania region on a fam trip that allowed them to uncover the region's history, culture and cuisine. Over the week, brokers from as far afield as the Caribbean and United States stopped off in Castellammare di Stabia, Pompeii, Naples, Sorrento, Positano and Capri.
The trip was the 7th edition of the 'On the Sea' event organised by Luisa Del Sorbo of By Tourist in order to promote Campania as a superyacht destination. The coastline boasts the perennially popular luxury destinations of Amalfi and Capri, as well as an unrivalled depth of history and culture, which visitors absorb on the streets of Pompei and Naples.
The international delegation was hosted in style at the Miramare Hotel in Castellammare di Stabia. The new superyacht marina here of Stabia Main Port welcomes yachts up to 250 metres and is the most convenient base for exploring Capri, Ischia and the surrounding area. From here, the group left the Gulf of Naples to travel south to Sorrento.
A tour of Italy is likely to be remembered by its tastes and scents. The charter brokers from Antigua, Florida and Greece will be taking back memories of superb meals eaten in some of the most renowned restaurants of the region including O Canonico in Sorrento, Cafe' Do Mar and the Blue Stone in Castellammare di Stabia, the Quattro Passi in Nerano, the Jose Restaurant in Torre del Greco, and Paolino and Aurora in Capri.
"Promoting the territory and our exceptional superyacht marinas in the two Gulfs are the main ingredients of our fam trips," commented Luisa Del Sorbo, creator of the event."Thanks to the collaboration with the Luise Group, the involvement of companies who have been delivering the best in luxury tourism for decades, and our friends who are restaurateurs of distinction, this year we have once again pulled off a fantastic trip that has shown brokers the stylish options for a charter holiday on the Campanian coast.
"As part of the trip, we sailed from Stabia Main Port and the Marina Molo Luise to the port of Sorrento where we were welcomed by Nino Aprea into his traditional wooden shipyard for an evocative journey between Sorrentine skiffs. On an exclusive sailing trip in the marine protected area of Punta Campanella, we cruised calmly and smoothly through turquoise waters on the new Giulia model with an electric motor."
Suggested itineraries for a cruise of Campania have rippled around the world promoted by the Luise Group who have been attending the spring yacht shows in Palm Beach and Barcelona.
"Our goal is to promote our region of origin in great style," Francesco Luise, manager of the Luise Group, comments, "In Naples, the delegation was able to visit the old town and the underground city, with a stop at Marina Molo Luise. They also had a taste of the typical cuisine, from coffee in Cuccuma Cafe and La Caffettiera, to a traditional supper at La Cantinella restaurant with panoramic sea views, up to Capri, where they were met by the Capri Yacht Services team. Culture, tradition and romance imbued this luxury holiday on the sea."
