Crew Board Set to Simplify Yacht Recruitment
Crew Board, a start up launching in November, will improve the process of matching yacht crew with open roles, making recruitment easier for both employers and employees.
The new web based app uses innovative technology including a ‘best match’ algorithm to help crew find the roles that best suit their experience, and make it easier for yachts to identify crew that meet their demands.
“As a recruiter and former crew member, I understand how difficult it can be to match the perfect crew with the perfect yacht”, says Founder and Managing Director, Chay Hodgson.
“Yacht recruitment can be a difficult and drawn-out process, but Crew Board’s exclusive database and intuitive user interface will make it much easier to fill any role, from captain to steward. We are very excited to share it with the yachting community.”
Traditional recruitment methods can also be very costly with owners and captains paying fees in line with the position filled. Instead, Crew Board’s low-cost subscription model gives employers direct access to an exclusive pool of candidates, saving thousands by removing the middleman.
“The demand for crew has never been higher and it’s only set to increase, so employers will need a more cost-effective and efficient recruitment solution” says Chay. “We’re hoping our platform will aid the growth of the industry and help younger, less experienced crew to find their dream role.”
Every crew member is vetted by Crew Board’s team of seasoned professionals to ensure a high quality database, with a streamlined process for employers to short-list and progress the most suitable candidates.
Yachts can take advantage of a six month free trial period, with junior roles remaining free to post to help green crew find their first job in the industry.
And Crew Board is completely free for crew who can now search and apply for suitable jobs in just a few clicks.
