Crew Unlimited & ICT in Florida to Rebrand as bluewater
Crew Unlimited and International Crew Training (ICT) in Florida have joined the bluewater team enabling us to offer a universal solution on both sides of the Atlantic.
From Monday 19th September, Crew Unlimited and the ICT training center, both in Fort Lauderdale, will carry the bluewater brand, bringing together three market leaders to offer an unrivaled service with a database of over 100,000 crew.
This fusion will greatly enhance bluewater’s ONE Account - a unique training and recruitment solution giving yacht owners and yacht captains access to the same live database as bluewater's own recruitment team. With a subscription, yachts are reimbursed their annual fee in the form of traning credits to be used in our training centers worldwide, or for courses held on board.
Peter Bennett, Managing Director of bluewater said, “Bluewater’s new worldwide reach means that crew can rely on the bluewater model of training and recruitment regardless of which time zone they are in. We are delighted to welcome Ami Ira, Jay Lasner and their fantastic teams to the bluewater family, and look forward to welcoming you to our new facilities in Fort Lauderdale.”
Crew Unlimited, a leading US crew placement agency with a database of over 60,000 registered crew (similar in size to bluewater’s) is one of the longest standing crew agencies in the world, having began operations in 1983. The owner of Crew Unlimited, Ami Ira, will lead the US recruitment, brokerage and charter business as President of bluewater USA, retaining everyone in the current team.
Ami said, “I am excited to join the bluewater family, a team I’ve known and respected for more than 20 years. The marriage of our two brands will surely be a game changer resulting in the world’s largest talent pool by far.”
International Crew Training (ICT) will also rebrand ther substantial training facilities as bluewater, allowing ONE Account clients to redeem their training vouchers with a respected and established team of instructors in Fort Lauderdale as part of the wider bluewater family. Jay Lasner will continue to lead the center as CEO.
Jay Lasner said, “Everyone at International Crew Training is passionate about being the finest maritime training center of its kind and delivering the finest training in the world. It is a natural step to provide a business now spanning both sides of the Atlantic, thereby combining our efforts towards these mutual goals.”
Bluewater is thrilled to be welcoming CU and ICT into our family. One Company, One Complete Service... Now in Fort Lauderdale!
