Marina Punat: Croatia's Oldest Marina is Bang Up to Date

Founded in 1964, Marina Punat is the oldest marina in Croatia. Located in a protected bay on the island of Krk, the marina has on its doorstep a stunning region of islands, coves and beaches which altogether make the perfect cruising ground.

Situated in the north of Croatia, Punat is a great starting point for trips to Pula, Rovinj, Trieste, Venice...and is easily accessible over land and by plane from nearby Rijeka airport and the bridge linking Krk to the mainland.

Punat enjoys a temperate Mediterranean climate – summer air temperatures range between 25° and 35°C, and sea temperatures are 23° to 26°C, while winters are short and mild.

Marina Punat has won a number of significant awards and has been acknowledged many times as the best Croatian marina. International recognition comes in the form of ISO certificate 9001 which the marina has held since 2000, guaranteeing a high level of service quality, and ISO 14001 which confirms Marina Punat's abidance by strict ecological norms since 2010.

Marina Punat was the first marina in Croatia to implement these standards in its business operations, and the first to fly the Blue Flag for environmental protection, from 1998.

Proactive Boat Care

Security has always been high on the marina's agenda, in order to deliver the best service to clients, the marina has implemented the vessel monitoring system Proactive Boat Care which gives owners remote access to frequently updated photos and inspection reports. From home, Marina Punat clients can rest easy that their valuable asset is protected and secure.

Berths are inspected on a daily basis and electronic minutes are taken about the appearance and the external condition of the vessel visible from the pier. Once a week, clients receive an email with a photo of their boat and information about the latest inspections covering the water line, the state of the bow and stern mooring lines, arrangement of fenders, state of the covers and openings on the boat and the state of the electricity and water connections.

An archive of all photos is collated online, forming a useful record of all maintenance and upkeep carried out on your boat - easily accessbile through the online customer portal.

The area of Marina Punat is fully covered by video surveillance and web-cameras, including the marina entries and exits using the Marina Club Cards with an electronic control system with video cameras.

Maintenance and repairs can be carried out on site by trusted partners at yacht service and Shipyard Punat.
