In response to increasing international demand for MUIR products, Australian-based MUIR Windlasses is adding factory representative Federico Verona to its Italian team to bolster its strong European presence.

Verona’s strong industry knowledge will enable MUIR to strengthen its role in the region, where it has seen a growing appetite for its reliable and durable winch systems. He will work with distributor Luca Signorini to increase its presence throughout Italy, France and Turkey.

Managing director, Matthew Johnston was very pleased to welcome Federico to the European sales team.

“He will assist greatly with our efforts to increase MUIR’s presence in Italy, Turkey and France,” says Johnston.

“We’ve strengthened our sales force in the last six months with the appointment of Stephen Vincent as the Global Superyacht Sales Manager focussing on the regions of Asia and the US, and now with the appointment of Federico Verona to concentrate on Italy, Turkey and France, alongside our distributors.”

Johnston will continue to look after key accounts in Europe; particularly the Netherlands, UK and Germany, as well as in Australia and the Middle East.

Both Verona and Signorini will be based in key Italian boating hubs, with Verona in Viareggio and Signorini in Lavorno.

MUIR produces premium, custom-built anchor winch systems to suit superyachts from 70 to 150 metres, and has been supplying well-known European superyacht builders for many years.

MUIR’s growing global presence is driven by a strong international demand for its high quality, reliable products, set on a strong 47-year foundation of building industry-leading windlass and anchoring systems.

Having recently returned from a successful showing at METS and catching up with their supporters and clients, MUIR is proud to be working with Verona and is looking forward to another exciting year of growth in the industry.
