Northrop & Johnson Announces New Office in Holland

Home to some of the world’s best builders of both motor and sailing yachts, Northrop & Johnson has opened our Holland office in order to keep the pulse of this important location within the yachting industry. The Northrop & Johnson Holland office is perfectly poised to serve the Holland yachting community and beyond.

At the helm of our Holland office is office director and yacht broker Derk Jan Rolff. His vast experience within the yachting industry and close connections to shipyards and high-end clientele will prove beneficial to his new roles.

Derk began his career in the yachting industry as a broker with De Valk; he also successfully started the De Valk Antibes office. In a few short years, he was able to sell many yachts ranging in length between 80 and 160 feet such, as well a couple of new builds, at ship yards were in the Netherlands, Italy and the last was the Turkish built Nomad today called Bartender. He then moved back to the Netherlands to become director of De Valk International, where he developed sales teams and grew the company on a global scale. He also continued his sales practice and is equally savvy selling motor or sailing yachts.

In 2009, Derk forged out on his own and created Holland Yacht Partners, which specialized in the sales and marketing of Dutch-built superyachts. After a number of successful years, he has decided to join the Northrop & Johnson global team thanks to a long-standing successful relationship.
