Ocean Signal Appoints New US Sales Manager
Ocean Signal has appointed its first dedicated US Sales Manager to manage the company’s expansion in the country.
With a strong background in the marine electronics and fishing industries, experienced maritime sales manager Joe Bauschka is handling increased demand for Ocean Signal’s rescueME and SafeSea ranges of recreational and commercial communication and safety products, and a growing distribution network in the USA.
Joe previously worked as regional manager for Navico Inc for 17 years, before moving on to key sales roles at Pure Fishing and Simrad Fisheries.
“I am very excited to join Ocean Signal and to be part of establishing and growing a high-quality brand which has already proved to be very popular in a relatively short space of time,” said Joe. “The rescueME and SafeSea ranges are such well-designed product familes with so many benefits and advantages for users, so I am looking forward to introducing the devices to even more people in the US with the purpose of saving lives.”
Joe will specifically focus on Ocean Signal’s compact rescueME range of safety products, including the new DAME-nominated rescueME MOB1, the rescueME EDF1 Electronic Distress Flare, rescueME PLB1 and rescueME EPIRB1, plus the company’s SafeSea range of GMDSS products, consisting of the S100 SART, V100 VHF and E100G EPIRB.
Acquired by Drew Marine Ltd earlier this year, Ocean Signal now operates as a unit of Florida-based ACR Electronics, Inc., a global leader in safety and survival technologies. The companies combine two of the most highly experienced electronic engineering teams in the marine communication industry to offer a comprehensive portfolio of reliable survival gear.
Ocean Signal Sales and Marketing Manager James Hewitt said: “We are delighted to welcome Joe to the company to lead the way in the US and we are confident that his experience, knowledge and ability will help drive up sales and increase our market presence. The US market for recreational products is the largest in the world and it is important to have the best sales force. We now have a strong team in place with a deep knowledge and understanding of the American market which they have built up over the years.”
Ocean Signal products will be available at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show from November 5th to 9th on Booth 905 and through distributors Datrex and ACR Electronics.
