Opportunities for Marina Professionals at METS 2016

Amsterdam is the place to be for the worldwide marina industry in November. The METSTRADE Show, the world’s premier B2B exhibition for marine equipment, takes place from 15 to 17 November, while the World Marinas Conference runs from 17 to 19 November, both in RAI Amsterdam.

Marina & Yard Pavilion at METSTRADE

METSTRADE Show provides a platform for almost 1,400 exhibitors from over 40 countries to showcase their products to over 22,000 visitors. It combines new products, seminars and unrivalled networking opportunities for visitors to connect across countries, technologies and industry sectors.

As well as country pavilions, METSTRADE Show features three themed pavilions representing smaller shows within the broader concept. One is the Marina & Yard Pavilion (MYP), which has become the annual meeting place for marina,yard construction and management professionals over the past decade. Already over 50 exhibitors have registered for this year's edition, exceeding last year’s final total, with more expected to join in the weeks ahead (see exhibitor list on metstrade.com).

The Future of Marinas at the ICOMIA World Marinas Conference

At the 2016 METSTRADE Show the MYP will also host the ICOMIA World Marinas Conference (IWMC), delivering an innovative programme of topics, speakers and events under the theme ‘The future of marinas in a changing world’. Highlights include marina development (ideas, trends and refurbishment), regulations (water planning regimes and zones, concessions and financing, environmental legislation), management and operations (innovative solutions, staffing and training, marketing and customer care) and cooperation between the public and private sectors.

The three day conference highlights innovation, inspiration, best practices and market solutions, providing attendees with the tools to get ahead in the global marina industry. The top sponsor positions have already been secured by market leaders: the Platinum sponsor is marina builder Marinetek, while Poralu, Seaflex and D-Marin are Gold sponsors. Four other companies have registered for a Silver package and two for a Bronze package.

All in One Place

These two marina industry hotspots will be located side by side in the RAI Convention Centre: the ICOMIA WMC will be located in the Amtrium complex while the MYP is in the adjacent Hall 5, offering a one-stop shop to thousands of METSTRADE visitors and over 300 conference delegates. It will be the ultimate networking opportunity, enhanced by numerous side events, such as a tour of several of the finest marinas in the Netherlands and a gala dinner.

About ICOMIA World Marinas Conference

The ICOMIA World Marinas Conference is aimed at marina owners, operators, developers, consultants, service providers, government officials, equipment manufacturers, nautical tourism promoters and port and harbor operators. The event is set to attract over 300 international marina delegates from over 30 countries and is held biannually.

Registration for METSTRADE 2016 is free via www.metstrade.com until 8 November. From 8 November onwards an online registration fee of € 70.00 will be charged.
