Palladium Debuts New SIMON X

Newly launched M/Y King Baby, a 41m yacht, is being premiered by IAG of Zhuhai, China at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Local innovation company Palladium Technologies will help with the unveiling. Palladium designed and implemented the technologies for this yacht, which includes over six racks of AV equipment, 24 TVs, and a sound system to "kill for".

"The owner's requirements were well defined, as they really enjoy their entertainment systems while hosting their guests," stated Kevin Bubier, Head of  Project Management from Palladium. "Our designs employ custom designed speakers, bringing the clarity of the music, while our high wattage subwoofers produce the lows, completing the audiophile's ultimate experience".

The main salon has an 84" 4K Ultra High Resolution TV, while most of the other TVs onboard are  supplied to support the new 4K standard.  Using Savant as the control system, Palladium simplified the implementation, and allowed them to make changes as the owners evolve their catalogue and watching experiences.

Without out a doubt, the IT backbone that was designed is critical to the AV, lighting, and other systems onboard.  With a high level of redundancy built in, they have complete overlapping Wi-Fi coverage both in and around the yacht. Palladium's systems of choice is Aruba, which is the core equipment supporting most of the top technologies campuses in the world.

The lighting control system and the Cantaluppi lighting fixtures, provide an endless amount of control over the lighting scenes to match the ambiance and beauty of the Evan Marshall interiors. The unique artwork onboard is backlit and controlled with an infinite range of colors, highlighting these pieces, along with defining the mood settings for the lighting of the hot tub on the sky deck.

The SiMON monitoring, alarm and control system, with over 400 alarm and sensor points is silently overseeing  all of the critical systems onboard for anomalies, and working to offload the crew, until such time they must respond to a potential issue.

This is one example of Palladium's full Technology Solutions, all engineered, built and installed by the team of engineering experts at Palladium.

This year at FLIBS, Palladium Technologies will be also be showing off many sides of their  Total Technologies Solutions.  At their booth, in the Yacht Builders Tent #646-648, is the newly completed Glass Helm, which showcases the new SiMON X graphics, presented on curved ultra-wide 4K displays.  This helm continues to use the multi-touch controls which Palladium introduced two years ago in Europe.
