Seahub Wins Three Awards at Australian Superyacht and Marine Export Conference

Seahub, the cloud-based yacht management software from Hunter Oceanic, received three awards during the recent ASMEX Conference at Sanctuary Cove Resort on the Gold Coast of Australia.

Seahub was presented with the awards for Marine Export Performance of the Year, Best Export Marketing Strategy and the Best Marine Exporter of the Year, reflecting growing demand for the company's software solutions on superyachts and new build yachts around the world. 

This industry recognition is a pleasing achievement for the three-year-old company leading the charge to paperless planned maintenance systems. “It has given our team a tremendous boost and validation that the direction the system is going is on the right path,” said Sam Wheaton, co-founder and commercial director of Seahub.

Seahub's founders, Matthew Hyde and Sam Wheaton, used their experience as superyacht engineers to design a paperless solution for scheduled maintenance, safety and improved efficiency onboard. The software and its intuitive user-interface have been warmly received by superyachts worldwide, with whom Seahub collaborates to ensure continuous improvements to their system. “We're lucky to work with some amazing yachts. Their feedback shapes our system and they are a big part of Seahub's future direction and success.” said Sam Wheaton.

Attracting high-profile international speakers, the two day ASMEX Conference promotes Australia’s superyacht and marine capabilities on both the local and international stage, where Seahub is undoubtedly one of their brightest stars.  

As for the company's next chapter, Sam said, “We are working with a number of new builds due for release in 2020 which are deploying a lot of new technology around propulsion and power generation. We're excited to see where superyacht building is heading!”
