WYCC Returns to the Monaco Yacht Show 2019

It’s that time of year again, as the industry’s movers and shakers prepare to descend on Monaco for the most glamorous event in the superyacht calendar. One exhibitor who is returning for a seventh year is WYCC - the global provider of health and retirement cover for expats and seafarers in the yachting, cruising, oil and gas and shipping industries.

Founded by Christian Henry in Luxembourg in 1997 and now under the wings of his son Matheiu, the family-run business offers ultimate flexibility in policies as well as the highest of standards of customer service for all of its major superyacht clients, covering everything from healthcare, loss of life, disability and retirement plans adapted to the needs of seafarers.

Priding itself on its proactive approach to solution creation, WYCC has grown 20% year on year and despite this rapid growth, the company continues to maintain its popular hands-on approach and provides one of the best transatlantic healthcare policies on the market, constantly moving with the times.

In response to changes in US legislation, together with SGRM, the international insurance brokers based in Florida, WYCC also pioneered AZURE – a global healthcare plan including US cover for crew employed by non-US entities. Changes in French social security legislation in 2018 also saw the company become the first insurer to offer a private alternative that complies with ENIM.

WYCC is constantly pushing boundaries and seeking innovation in business technology, the perfect example being its WYCC Platform - a comprehensive online tool to manage crew turnover, enrollment, modifications of employees and formulas.
