Yacht Crew Contracts: PYA Survey Report

Over the last few years over 135 crew members have approached the PYA seeking advice about their employment contracts while working on private yachts. This led the PYA to conduct a survey which found that at least 15% of yacht crew are not adequately protected.

Due to the prevalence of these issues, we decided to conduct a survey asking crew a range of questions to get a better understanding of how widespread the problems are within the yachting industry, the types of contracts being issued, the quality of those contracts and the conditions under which they are provided.
