America's Cup Inspires Crewsaver’s ErgoFit 50N EX Lifejacket

With the America’s Cup fast approaching, high performance sailing is on everybody’s mind. And with a new era of high tech sailing comes demand for personal safety equipment offering the very best in protection and performance, which led Crewsaver to develop their ErgoFit 50N EX, designed exclusively with Artemis Racing for the America’s Cup, representing a revolution in buoyancy aid design. 

In high performance sailing, entrapment is a real risk. Crewsaver's ErgoFit 50N EX therefore includes a chest mounted spare air cylinder, allowing hands-free use of the device in the event that the user's arms become trapped. If the user becomes entangled, the buoyancy aid has a readily accessible integrated line cutter, easily deployed with a downward motion.

The Fusion 3D design is uniquely constructed to contour the shape of the user's body for an unrestricted fit, and airflow technology incorporated throughout the buoyancy aid facilitates heat transfer during exertion. The buoyancy aid also features a rear pocket and concealed shoulder channels for storage of a hydration pack.
