Guiness Record for the World's Tallest Inflatable Water Slide

FreeStyle Slides is no stranger to challenges. Having created many of the “world’s firsts” such as the inflatable Yacht Slide, Inflatable Wave Pools and Building Evacuation Slides, it has always been in our nature to tackle bigger projects, and recently we did just that, taking on one of our greatest challenges thus far.

In the Fall of 2015, FreeStyle constructed the Hybrid XL, a 22.4 meter drop slide, for a pop-up water park in Perth Australia called Xscape at the City. This park is unlike any other, and so when it came time to add major attractions, owner/operator Douglas Campbell looked no further than FreeStyle Slides.

FreeStyle knew that this slide would be the tallest of it’s kind, and so decided to make it official, and on Friday, February 19th, FreeStyle, in conjunction with Xscape at the City, will be securing the Guinness World Records title for the “World’s Tallest Inflatable Water Slide.”

The Beginning

The Hybrid XL is a virtual fusion of FreeStyle’s land based slide technology and their sea based slide technology. The first ever Hybrid was constructed for the Yacht Club de Monaco which stood over 15 meters tall and took riders from the top of the yacht club, into the harbor below.

This concept allowes FreeStyle the ability to achieve record setting heights as well as leading the way to developing never before seen inflatable products.

Xscape

Due to the custom nature of FreeStyle’s product line and the fact that they focus heavily on new

product development, it’s no secret why entrepreneurs from around the globe are commissioning them to help bring their projects to life. Enter Douglas Campbell of Xscape at the City. Already a proud owner of the FreeStyle product line, Douglas saw the success of the Monaco Yacht Club Hybrid Slide. This in turn inspired him to have  FreeStyle develope an even taller version of the Monaco slide, a record setting 22m high Hybrid Slide!
