Makeover for Motoryacht Sylviana
Guido de Groot Design is currently working on a complete makeover for the classic motor yacht SYLVIANA (ex Ragazza, Hiba, Aruba II).
Originally built by CRN Ancona in Italy in 1979, her extensive refit will include a 4 meter aft extension that will bring her to a length of nearly 40 meters.
In addition to gaining length, SYLVIANA will receive a new modified superstructure forward on the main deck, an extended bridge deck lounge, and a completely new upper sun deck.
A main focus of this project was to increase ceiling heights onboard the vessel and the capacity to store larger tenders. Subsequently, the yacht will benefit from plenty of newly created recreational and sunbathing space.
From a design aesthetic, her lines have been brought up-to-date without neglecting her classic heritage and associative style that is appreciated by so many people.
Successful Sea Trials Muler 98 Flybridge
The technical sea trials of the all-aluminum Mulder 98 Flybridge have been successfully concluded. The 30-metre custom-built Mulder with its stunning round-bilged hull achieved a maximum speed of 22 knots; two knots more than expected. The sound levels of the 98-footer were also impressively quiet.
The Mulder 98 Flybridge is the largest Mulder ever built. She is powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines with a capacity of 1685hp each. The yacht has a fuel capacity of 17,000 liters.
At a speed of ten knots, this gives a Trans-Atlantic range of approximately 3,300 nm.
The exterior of the Mulder 98 Flybridge was designed by Guido de Groot Design. Her design embodies the next stage in the successful evolution of the Mulder range of semi-displacement Flybridge motor yachts.
She will appeal to an owner who appreciates timeless style over current fashion trends. Her dynamic lines and anthracite-coloured bimini emphasizes her length while the softness of the yacht’s surfaces adds an extra air of class.
Thanks to a generous length of 98 feet, the yacht is optimally proportioned to allow for maximum indoor and outdoor living space.
