Net-Logic Wireless BNWAS attains Wheel Mark accreditation
Net-Logic announce their WatchKeeper+, the world’s only type approved wireless BNWAS, now carries the prestigious Wheel Mark certification.
The Wheel Mark (Mark of Conformity) is the European regulatory marking of all marine equipment, as defined in the Marine Equipment Directive, 96/98/EC. Wheel Mark ensures a uniform application of international navigation equipment and is recognised and approved for installation by all of the major maritime classification societies.
The Net-Logic wireless BNWAS was a world-first, and is now the world’s only system of its kind to hold and carry Wheel Mark certification. The Net-Logic system employs a robust mesh network design and has now passed the most stringent of testing; the system also recently passed a significant milestone of 2000 wireless modules in service.
Dave Norton, General Manager States:
“As a company we are immensely proud of this achievement, we went through a rigorous testing and proving procedure, this not only stress tested the product but also the companies processes and support ability. Clients now have the comfort that the wireless BNWAS is approved for installation on board regardless of whoever their EU classification society is”
The system was designed with the superyacht sector in mind and has been fitted on many yachts in a single day with no disruption to the interior or cabling infrastructure.
Most yachts, private or otherwise, now have to comply with the legislation; the trigger date being July 2013.
UPDATE ***Net-Logic have appointed Sambrinie and Cie as their principal distributor in France for the system. Having worked with Sambronie and Cie as the exclusive French distributor for over a year, Net-Logic have reached a pivotal decision to appoint them as the principal distributor in France following discussions at the Monaco Yacht Show last month.***
Net-Logic provides simple solutions to complex problems throughout the marine industry around the world.
