Yacht Shows: Planning the Unknown

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has forced the cancellation or postponements of a raft of superyacht events, and with the future still unclear, it’s an anxious time for a growing number of companies within the industry.

Not just  a place where we can all meet and come together, yacht shows are a vital source of income for many exhibitors, who work all year round to ensure their attendance, and risk losing a lot of money should the event fall through.

In the 10th Superyacht Times webinar, Hein Velema is joined by managing director of Monaco Yacht Show Gaëlle Tallarida, president of US Boat Shows Andrew Doole, vice president of Rybovich Superyacht Marina & Refit Carlos Vidueira, and marketing and brand director of Feadship Farouk Nefzi to discuss the interest of all the different parties and how we can all work together to help rebuild the industry.

Will any yacht shows go ahead this year? Will there be changes in the number of events and the business models of the shows? Are some companies moving away from attending events and will there be a change in the behaviour of visitors who do attend? Watch the video below to find out more.
