2021 MYBA Charter Show
2020 is undoubtedly one of the most challenging years that we have faced on both a personal and professional level. However, as the year draws to an end, glimmers of hope are appearing and we are optimistic about the future.
So we have already started making plans for 2021 and the staging of the MYBA Charter Show, from 26 to 29 April, at Marina Port Vell in Barcelona. Our current assessment is that, when the time comes for the Show to open its doors, we will be in a position to host a productive event in a healthy environment.
That being said, we would like to stress that the well-being of attendees remains our first priority and therefore we will be minimizing any possible risk by holding an event in a more intimate format. This means that we will be restricting all large gatherings and our usual competitions, with the exception of the MYBA Superyacht Chefs’ Competition which has always been managed with small groups. Much as we enjoy the celebrations and cheers at the Prize Giving Ceremony, winners will receive their awards in small ceremonies.
We will, of course, also be observing every sanitary precaution stipulated by the Spanish rules & regulations, and working closely together with Marina Port Vell on establishing further ground rules to ensure that we all remain safe.
It is understandable that the Show's organisation will be even more intricate this time but our industry (and the professionals who serve it) would lose momentum, opportunities, and vital knowledge-sharing if we were to appear faint-hearted in the face of difficulty. MYBA intends to rise to the occasion instead of stooping to circumstance.
We hope that we will see many of you again at the next MYBA Charter Show and that we will kick of the 2021 charter season together!
