Cannes will once more be hosting the Cannes Yachting Festival from the 8th - 13th September. Over 550 luxury vessels will be on display, some of which are being premiered at the show. It promises to be another exciting week with the best the industry has to offer in design, technology and engineering.
Nearly 500 yachts will be on show in the Vieux Port including newbuilds and designs to come out of the some of the most prestigious international shipyards over the past year. 140 yachts will be premiered this year in Cannes; motor yachts, sailing yachts, catamarans and multi hulls will be available for viewing. Some of these can be test driven in the Bay of Cannes. Also being showcased in the Vieux Port will be the best the luxury industry has to offer from high-end brands to the latest in engineering innovation.
On Thursday 10th September the 'Concours d'Elegance' will be taking place at 5pm in the Bay of Cannes. The parade is limited to day boats of maximum 17m with a crew of no more than 4. Points will be awarded based on the elegance of the boats design and crew, the quality of restoration, and history and rarity of the vessel. A special event not to be missed!
New to the festival in 2016 is The Terrace, a space dedicated to the best the luxury market has to offer. From watches and jewellery to private aviation and prestigious real estate there will be something for every discerning yacht owner. Ideally situated on the rooftop of the Palais de Festival and next to the VIP club with views over the bay and the port, The Terrace will be the place to visit.
At Port Pierre Canto some of the biggest brokerage firms will be displaying over 50 second-hand yachts, half of which are in excess of 30 metres. You can visit yachts for sail and charter here. A boat taxi service will be available to take visitors between Port Canto and the Vieux Port.
