Caribbean Charter Yacht Show Brings Culinary Magic to the USVI

Registration is now open for the Superyacht Chef Competition at the inaugural Caribbean Charter Yacht Show (CCYS) which will bring together superyachts, crew, charter brokers and exhibitors from around the globe from 9-12 December 2021.

“This high profile event will be a veritable who’s who of the culinary world at Yacht Haven Grande this December.” Says Nancy Bean, owner of Wise Up Events, a team of creative producers in the culinary arts, hospitality, and wine and spirits industries.

Partnered with Navy Beach in Yacht Haven Grande, the Superyacht Chef Competition will celebrate the incredible talent and cuisine that superyacht chefs are known for. “When designing events, our mission is simple. We strive to celebrate the host location and its unique culture. We concept the dream, create the energy, gather the talent, and produce the magic.” The Superyacht Chef Competition and all food and tastings at CCYS will showcase luxury produce from local suppliers promising an exciting and authentic culinary experience for all who attend.

Participating chefs will be asked to create dishes that are distinctly Caribbean in flavour and style, honouring the values and traditions of the US Virgin Islands. Across three full days, a panel of esteemed and celebrity judges will hop from yacht to yacht to savour the epicurean delights, assessing each chef on a variety of elements from presentation, flavour, use of local products and table scape.

To share the excitement at the show and beyond, the Superyacht Chef Competition will also be filmed, and a show reel of highlights will be screened at the awards ceremony on the final afternoon.

Highly regarded for her creativity and flair in producing gastronomic events, Nancy has years of experience working with talented culinary artists the world over. As well as her new role with CCYS, Nancy oversees the prestigious Nantucket Wine & Food Festival and a host of high-end chef focused events including the Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival, a variety of events for the James Beard Foundation, and the much anticipated EAT DRINK BOSTON.
