First Ever British Marine Expo
With the new year comes new opportunities and the inaugural British Marine Expo promises two days of inspiration, education and engagement in the dynamic surroundings of St Mary’s Stadium, Southampton.
Combining learning, networking, a marine showcase and the opportunity to recognise achievement, British Marine Expo on 26-27 March will bring together more than 700 professionals from across the sector to meet, share ideas and do business. Delegates will get the latest thinking, the chance to network and see the latest innovations from more than 30 exhibitors.

Due to overwhelming demand, only four stand spaces remain within the Marine Showcase at this year’s Expo at the time of writing. Training sessions
We have scheduled 6 x 1-hour sessions on 26 March; an opportunity to deliver bit-size training for up to 50 delegates per slot. Day One
Supply Chain Conference
Back after a four year absence, the Supply Chain Conference will host a line-up of focussed presentations and discussions exploring how companies of all sizes can grow and exploit the array of opportunities open to them in the supply chain supporting a strong £3.12billion UK industry. It will also look to address and tackle the very real threats to the sector’s future.
Meet the Buyer
A popular annual event attracting buyers from across the world who are seeking out British craftsmanship and expertise. This networking event will deliver a global audience to the inaugural British Marine Expo. Offering UK suppliers of marine products and services the unique opportunity to meet with a wide range of buyers, including overseas boatbuilders and distributors, it is estimated that this important event generates wins of over £1.2million for participating UK businesses.
British Marine Trades Association Awards Annual Dinner
This annual gala dinner will offer British Marine members and industry friends a night of fun, recognition, laughter and networking. A key focus of the evening will be the association prestigious awards which showcase the best of the UK marine industry. The accolades include British Marine Trades Association Business of the Year, British Marine Trades Association Personality of the Year, British Marine Trades Association Chairman’s Special Award and the David Coleman Excellence in Exporting Award presented by Suzanne Blaustone.
Day Two
Superyacht UK Technical Seminar
Returning for 2019, the Superyacht UK Technical Seminar will host a range of knowledgeable and respected speakers presenting on a wide range of current legislative hot topics in the UK’s superyacht sector. Now celebrating its 9th edition, it’s firmly established within the superyacht calendar attracting a pool of pioneering and ambitious delegates from across the sector.

Marine Showcase
The Marine Showcase will be the heart of the new British Marine Expo. It will welcome over 30 companies displaying their latest and most innovative products and services to the hundreds of visitors across the two-days. Following overwhelming initial interest from brands looking to take space, over 50% of stands have already been sold, with many more companies just waiting to confirm their location. Those already confirmed include Vetus, AJS Technical Services, Marine Resources, Aquafax, Celsus UK Ltd and Mactra Marine, to name but a few.
Association meetings and events
Across the two-days a number of British Marine’s group and regional associations will bring a hive of activity to the Expo hosting some of their networking events and meetings at the venue. Those running activities for visitors and their members include British Marine Leisure Boating, British Marine Sailing, Commercial Marine, British Marine South and British Marine Engines & Equipment.
The Expo is sponsored by British Marine Trades Association and Superyacht UK and is the first of a series of annual Expos that will take place across the country with locations in the Midlands and the North being investigated for subsequent years.
