Monaco Yacht Show 2013 Roundup
What a week it's been! This year's Monaco Yacht Show was absolutely spectacular, with a whole host of exciting meetings, workshops and events and a fantastic blend of new people and catching up with old friends.
The show itself was incredible this year. It seemed even bigger and brighter than ever, with so many exciting additions such as the wonderful Red Arrows air display (see my Youtube page for videos), hundreds of interesting exhibitors, and invitations to so many glitzy parties every night. Even more importantly I also hear it has been a financial success with some key large yacht sales coming through that are sure to perk up the industry’s financial forecast.
This year the dynamic Acrew team hosted a crew lounge with a packed program of interesting seminars and workshops which were really well attended by crew and industry associates, showing great promise for the growth of professional development within the industry. I was delighted to have a full house for my Strengths Discovery workshop there on Friday, where I helped participants identify their individual core strengths and learn how to utilise these for creative solutions, greater productivity and more success in their daily lives.
And on Friday evening, in my capacity as their fleet Crew Coach, I hosted the first ever Camper & Nicholsons Charter Crew Awards evening (in conjunction with OnboardOnline) – the C&NI Crew Stars – at their huge party on the top floor of the Miramar hotel overlooking the port.
It was a brilliant night with many of the winning stars there to pick up their awards and celebrate the end of a very successful summer season. You can read more about this event and the C&NI Crew Stars awards program here on their website.
Now it’s back to my desk where enquiries for Strategy Sessions, Private Coaching and CV Turnarounds are coming in thick and fast – it just goes to show there really is no rest for the wicked!
