USVI Tourism Announced as First Headline Sponsor for Caribbean Charter Yacht Show

IGY is thrilled to announce that the USVI Department of Tourism is the first headline sponsor of the Caribbean Charter Yacht Show at Yacht Haven Grande, St Thomas.

Taking place from Thursday December 9^th through Sunday December 12^th at IGY’s showcase St. Thomas marina, Yacht Haven Grande, and held in partnership with the International Yacht Broker’s Association (IYBA), the show aims to reset and reinvent the traditional boat show model with an entirely new format tailored specifically to charter broker needs as well as those of the participants.

Securing the active support and sponsorship of USVI Tourism is a key factor in creating a successful inaugural show which will inevitably benefit the local economy.

USVI Tourism Commissioner Joseph Boschulte has said: "We continue to work around the clock to promote safe travel and welcome visitors to our islands. As we continue to carefully navigate the pandemic, we are very hopeful to see a full rebound of our vibrant tourism industry in 2021 and beyond."

Around 50 superyachts will be hosted as part of the magnificent Caribbean charter fleet on show for the 2021/22 season and charter brokers from across the globe will get a first look at these incredible yachts in the idyllic setting of Yacht Haven Grande.

Leisure pursuits, entertainment and products and services from leading international suppliers will also be featured in this exclusively USVI Caribbean-themed event.

With a capacity for berthing superyachts up to 200 metres, Yacht Haven Grande is a three-time winner of The Yacht Harbour Association’s Superyacht Marina of the Year award. The USVI was recently named Destination of the Year by the Caribbean Journal.
