Boat Builder Awards - Call for Nominations
The relationship between boat builders and their suppliers is evolving from one of simply demand and supply to a much more collaborative approach.
Pooling knowledge and experience in the earliest stages of the boat design process can only elevate the end product and has the potential to foster the truly innovative. So runs the theory, but which boat builders and equipment manufacturers are dovetailing their processes most effectively to offer genuine advances to boat performance or on-board services?
It’s the question the third of six award categories at this year’s Boat Builder Awards for Business Achievement, in association with Raymarine and organised jointly by IBI and METSTRADE, seeks to answer.
Sponsored by Ultraflex, the award for Boat Builder and Equipment Manufacturer Collaborative Solution recognises those boat builders and equipment manufacturers that have worked closely together from a conceptual stage to develop a particular solution to a design predicament or on-board problem.
Those entering or nominating for this award should be able to demonstrate how they have managed to synchronise their design and production processes in 2014/15 to present tangible results to benefit the boater. To enter this award category, examples of the above can be submitted via the awards’ website, www.boatbuilderawards.com.
It is free to enter and to nominate for any of the six award categories. Winners will be announced at a glittering gala dinner to take place during METS on November 18 at the National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam.
For more information about any of the award categories, how to submit entries and nominations, or to apply for tickets to the gala dinner, visit www.boatbuilderawards.com.
