Captivating Concepts at Singapore Yacht Show 2015
Many of the exhibiting superyacht builders at this year’s Singapore Yacht Show will be presenting new and exciting concepts for visitors to marvel and admire.
Though these yachts aren’t yet on the water, as they serve mostly as inspiration for a future buyer, the concepts serve as a wonderful opportunity for the builders to share a flavour of their design and construction ethos with visitors at the Show.
The One-Off Yacht, Full Custom Range by Amels
Dutch luxury yacht builder Amels is expanding its product offering to include the brand new AMELS Full Custom range. These one-off, fully custom creations complement Amels’ existing and hugely successful Limited Editions range. Built to the very highest Amels quality, and catering to the larger end of the market in the 80 to 110-metre segment, these yachts enable owners to own a true one-off yacht, with the help of a designer of their choice.
Due to popular demand, Amels and its parent company Damen have also developed a range of yacht support vessels to include a fully enclosed on board helicopter hangar. These will enable the discreet storage of a luxury helicopter without taking up valuable space on board the mother yacht.
The Royal Yacht, Royale by Feadship
Majestic and modest, glamorous yet practically minded. These fascinating contrasts are the hallmarks of the modern Dutch royal family and, in turn, also make up the key characteristics of the new Feadship Future Concept, Royale, on display at this year’s Singapore Yacht Show.
A spectacular testimony to the art of glass, this concept has been developed to mark the year of the Dutch King’s coronation, and speculates on how King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima might use a Feadship.
Feadship’s regal heritage doesn’t just include building spectacular yachts for royal families around the world, in recognition of over 100 years of yacht building excellence, Feadship has been awarded the designation ‘Royal’. Feadship’s creations really are fit for a king.
Barrier-Free Living, the Majesty 155 by Gulf Craft
In conjunction with its major participation at this year’s Singapore Yacht Show, Gulf Craft has released the renderings of the Majesty 155, the first yacht of its kind being built at the yard.
The interior design of the Majesty 155 is designed around a “barrier-free living” concept with large windows that deliver stunning panoramic views over the water.
The aft deck design includes a beach club for relaxing after a busy day of watersports and further striking features of the yacht are the balconies in the owner’s stateroom and main salon, allowing guests and owners superb access to the elements in which they are cruising.
The Unconventional Yacht, SF60 by Mondomarine
Built on the pillar of Italian quality, Mondomarine presents the recently unveiled SF60 project, designed in collaboration with SF Yachts and Luca Vallebona. As with other SF Line Mondomarine projects under development, this spectacular 60m embodies the feeling of family, all housed within clean external and interior lines that blend in a beautiful, but unconventional layout.
The Party Yacht, BLUE SEAS by Nobiskrug
Nobiskrug will be presenting its magnificent 135m BLUE SEAS concept at this year’s Show. It features an incredible seven decks, with two swimming pools and a helicopter-landing pad.
A private deck accommodates al fresco dining, lounge seating and a sunbathing area that is directly connected to the Spa-Deck above. Guests can relax luxuriously in a steam sauna, massage and beauty-area with plenty of chill-out spaces.
The upper deck dining can accommodate up to 60 people and the adjacent lounge or observation bar provides a wonderful space for cocktails; this is the perfect yacht for entertaining guests and partying into the night.
The Rule Breaker, STILETTO by Oceanco
STILETTO, the 107m concept from Oceanco, can only be described as “a surprise and rule breaker.”
She boasts two swimming pools, and an owners’ suite and terrace that offer complete privacy, as well as a whirlpool spa. A mezzanine balcony at the upper level of the salon offers panoramic views to admire the surrounding beauty and a central glass lift and large spiral staircase are capped by a major skylight, which brings sunlight down to the heart of the yacht.
The Bold Yacht, TITAN by Oceanco
With its distinctive red hull, the elegant and bold TITAN would no doubt turn heads wherever it cruised. At 117m, Oceanco’s second concept on display at the Show can comfortably accommodate 12 guests in six double cabins as well as offering its owners a superb suite with an open spacious terrace and a private whirlpool spa.
On board, an oval swimming pool overlooking the sea is surrounded by sofas, sunbeds, two drop-down TV screens, an al fresco bar and buffet displays.
This is the ideal area to enjoy life on board in a totally private and fully serviced way. Ample storage for four Waverunners and a jet ski as well as a diving store is available next to the wellness area. This is the ultimate superyacht for cruising with friends and family, with every possible luxury amenity available.
