Claydon Reeves Launches Aeroboat Powered by Rolls-Royce
Launched at the 2017 SuperYacht Gallery in London, AEROBOAT is a quintessential British brand of stylish power boats. With strong design by Claydon Reeves and naval architecture by BMT Nigel Gee, AEROBOAT naturally chose Rolls-Royce as its main supplier.
Aeroboat SV12
The first in the line is the Aeroboat SV12 (formerly the Aeroboat 50ft), the smallest and most performance focused model powered by a Rolls-Royce V12 Merlin engine and since being launched in 2013 the boat has been further engineered to deliver an exhilarating experience.
The SV12 provided the base for the highly anticipated Aeroboat S6, a 65ft yacht with excellent use of space above and below deck. A grand cabin forward with expansive windows can be transformed into a master suite for owners, while the shower room, dayhead and galley have proportions more typical of larger yachts. The main passageway provides access to a further cabin and a tender garage for storing a 3.8m tender or a couple of Jetskis.
Depending on the specifications of the S6 (available as a hardtop, fixed bimini or open cockpit), guests can enjoy al fresco dining with sun loungers located either side of the passageway leading aft to the passerelle. When deployed, this connects to the Aerostairs, a custom engineered unit the width of the transom designed to extend the swim platform, rising to meet the passerelle or submerging for easy access to the water.
The S6 is equipped with two MTU V10 2000 M96 engines, part of the Rolls-Royce family, and the latest units from MTU to meet current emission regulations with powerful acceleration and fuel efficiency.
From performance to functionality, the S6 is in a class of its own!
