Cogs 4 Cancer Report Record Donation

Day 5 of the London Boat Show saw Cogs 4 Cancer riders Ben Young and Steve Crowe along with Sunseeker founder and major sponsor, Robert Braithwaite present Cancer Research UK with a cheque for €285,560.

Sixteen Cogs 4 Cancer riders including many superyacht captains and business owners cycled more than 700km over six days from Ancona (Italy) to Antibes (France) raising money for Cancer Research UK and local French cancer charities.

Fundraiser and managing director of SYM Superyacht Management, Ben Young commented, “Thanks to the amazing generosity of all our sponsors we have increased donations by over 150% this year.”

Cancer Research’s Chloe Williams and Felicity Louden were on hand to receive the cheque for €285,560 and commented, “We are delighted to receive these amazing donations and especially pleased to report that Cancer Research UK researchers have now helped develop 19 out of the top 20 cancer drugs worldwide, which means your donations will be helping cancer sufferers wherever they are in the world.”
