Dutch Superyacht Excellence to the Fore at MYS
The superyacht sector in the Netherlands continues to go from strength to strength, building on a tremendous 2018 when the top six yards launched 18 superyachts over 30 metres in length worth more than 1.5 billion euros. The success of the Dutch superyacht sector rests equally on the leading yachtbuilders, its first-class equipment suppliers and industry partners, many of whom will join in Monaco as the HISWA Holland Yachting Group association brings a distinctive orange flavour to the proceedings.
The HISWA Holland Yachting Group is celebrating its golden jubilee this year in style at the Monaco show, with the biggest turnout of Dutch yards and equipment suppliers for many years heading to the principality to showcase half a century of export excellence.
The Holland Pavilion (DS50) is always one of the first ports of call for visitors, with the Darse Sud location making for an ideal spot to encounter the top Dutch superyacht experts. The HISWA Holland Yachting Group is also establishing a new Maritime Gallery concept this year at stand number DS48, creating a flexible meeting place for companies who prefer not to have to have people constantly manning a stand of their own.
“This is a classic Dutch innovation that reflects the changing way people do business at a hectic event such as the Monaco show,” explains export director Jeroen Sirag. “While many invaluable encounters take place at stands, there are also meetings being held all across Port Hercules and beyond. The Maritime Gallery gives some of our members a central point to gather along with the flexibility to be on the move when clients call.”
HISWA Holland Yachting Group members/partners making use of the new Maritime Galley include BBC Yacht Transport, Kuiper Holland, NeKo Yacht Supply, Port of Amsterdam, RH Marine, Rondal, Rotterdam Maritime Capital of Europe, Tuuci and Zijlstra International Decoration.
Other members will have a permanently manned stand exhibiting their latest products and developments. Highlights to look out for are Cramm Yachting Systems (DS49), Esthec (DS46), Hydromar (DS47), Naiad Dynamics (DS45) and VBH (DS51).
The premier superyacht yards will also be out in force at the Monaco show. AMELS and DAMEN will have a joint Café style set-up at their stand (JS6), with AURORA BOREALIS, HERE COMES THE SUN, ELIXIR, JOY RIDER and SHADOW on display.
Feadship will be celebrating its 70th birthday with a spectacular presentation in glass called The Jewels in the Crown at its stand (JS3). Oceanco (JS7) will present its newly delivered 90-metre DreAMBoat while Vitters has a large stand at Jules Social (JS2) and Ghost on display.
