Christening of Galactica Super Nova

As the exclusive suppliers of indoor and outdoor furnishings for the newly launched 70 meters FDHF superyacht Project Kometa, Sabrina Monte-Carlo was delighted to attend last Thursday launch and christening of Galactica Super Nova by her new owners in Oss, Holland.

Galactica Super Nova is not only the biggest yacht built by Heesen Yachts to date, but she is also one of the top 200 largest yachts in the world and one of the fastest yachts for her size. Beyond her extraordinary efficiency and high speed, the vessel embodies luxury on water, with an astonishing exterior design by world renowned naval architect Espen Oeino.

The owner appointed acclaimed Dutch designer Sinot to create the light and contemporary interior. Rich materials including onyx, calacatta luccioso marbles, shagreen and calf skin leathers create luxurious yet subtle and inviting spaces.

Working on the project for over a year, the Sabrina Monte-Carlo team has supplied elegant tableware, stemware and silverware from the most prestigious manufactures including Hermès, Puiforcat, Robbe & Berking or Christofle. 

They have also added exceptional Objets d’Art by the finest crystal makers such as Baccarat, in keeping with the sober style of the interiors. Decorative objects in different shades of blue, Sabrina’s trademark colour, have also been placed in order to liven up the subtle grey color scheme. 

 

In collaboration with Glyn Peter Machin and Espen Oeino, Sabrina Monte-Carlo has furnished the yacht with the most luxurious outdoor furniture. The contemporary character of the furniture, mixing teak, grey lacquer and stainless steel have been enhanced by hundreds of customized decorative cushions.

To add comfort to the decks, Sabrina Monte-Carlo has selected Paola Lenti to supply built-in cushions made of marine rope, a cutting-edge material resistant to all weather conditions.

The team has also pushed its search for high-quality materials, innovative design and customization from bed and bath linen, to accessories and amenities using brands such as Pratesi, Sabrina Monte-Carlo Linen, Riviere and Giobagnara. Galactica Super Nova epitomizes Sabrina Monte-Carlo's motto: perfection lies in the details.
