MarQuip Sponsors two Major Cancer Charity Events

MarQuip are proud sponsors of a variety of cancer research charities benefiting numerous people and organisations. These sponsorships include support of two major cancer charity events in 2015.

The first, held on June 4 2015, saw nearly five thousand people climb the Alpe d’Huez, either cycling, hiking or running, in the name of cancer research. MarQuip was proud to sponsor one of the competing teams, the CS Walcheren-van de Perre d’Hu6 team, which raised an impressive €27,500.

The money raised by all competing teams went towards the promotion and support of scientific research into cancer in all its forms, a hugely worthy cause.

The second major event is the 2015 Maritime Charity golf event, held in aid of the very deserving charity KiKa. As one of the four major sponsors of the event, MarQuip hopes that this year’s fundraising surpasses the €13,000 raised in 2014.

The Foundation KiKa is a Dutch charity foundation that brings in funds solely for childhood cancer research. The charity event will tee off on Thursday the 17^th of September 2015 at De Goese Golf in Goes, the Netherlands, with an entry fee of €150 per person. Participants get to enjoy either an 18-hole round of golf or a professional coaching clinic with lunch and dinner included.
