MYBA Superyacht Chef Winners 2016
The MYBA Charter Show has been based in Italy for 27 years, in both San Remo and Genoa so, for the 2016 MYBA Charter Show Chefs’ Competition, we wanted to pay tribute to Italian Cuisine, adored the world over.
We asked chefs to prepare three Classic Italian Dishes: pasta dish, main course and dessert. Two dishes were to be classic and the third dish could be given a 2016 makeover. Chefs could choose dishes from any region in Italy, with a luncheon or dinner menu.
To include the crew, yachts accepted into the Chef's Competition were automatically entered into the Welcome Aboard and Tablescaping Competition. Stewardesses and Stewards were given five minutes to welcome our judges/guests on board and to guide them to the table, decorated to complement the chef’s regional Italian cuisine.
The competition took place over the first three days of the show, and the prize giving ceremony was held on Thursday 5th May, with presentations and a Champagne Reception.
