Superyachts Select Stabia Main Port as Preferred Location

In just two short months since its inauguration June 9^th, Stabia Main Port has become an important point of reference for super yacht captains. 

The new marina resort, located in the heart of the city center of Castellammare di Stabia, is strategically located just a few minutes from the archeological sites of Pompeii and Stabiae and offers easy access to Sorrento, Capri, Ischia, the Bay of Naples and the protected marine area of Punta Campanella.  

“Since the inauguration in June we have been overwhelmed at the positive response from the super yacht industry. MY Cloud 9, MY Ester III and the brand new Feadship MY Symphony are just a few of the yachts that have selected Stabia Main Port in the last month,” said Umberto Graziuso, President of Stabia Main Port.

Planning for Stabia Main Port began with the desire of a small group of local entrepreneurs to dedicate a part of the existing historical marina for use exclusively by vessels over 30 meters and in particular for the class of gigayachts over 100m.

“We are very pleased to have created a new option for super yachts.  With small artisan shopkeepers and excellent local restaurants and pubs, both guests and crew are enjoying being part of this community, all the while being so close to Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri.  In fact, the local community has rallied around this project and is very proud to welcome these beautiful vessels and their international guests and crew to Castellammare di Stabia,” President Graziuso continued.

The city of Castellammare di Stabia, founded in the 8^th century as Stabiae, boasts 28 natural water sources and an antique thermal spa.  It is the only location in the area that can accommodate yachts up to 120m, also alongside. With a full set of services including shore power (250 amp/380 v), high speed Wi-Fi, water and 24 hour security the port also offers VIP concierge services for the vessels.
