The MCY 105: A New Era Begins for Monte Carlo Yachts
Monte Carlo Yachts has presented its new flagship yacht, the MCY 105 at a private viewing event at the Arsenale in Venice.
Five years ago, Monte Carlo Yachts unveiled the first boat of its collection, the MCY 76, in this very city. Over this time, the company has met its promise of redefining the paradigms of boat design with its collection of multi-awarded, timeless luxury yachts.
"We've kept our promise and have grown from a turnover of €3 million in our first year to €58 million; we now employ 300 people where we started with a team of just 20". Says Fabrizio Iarrera, Managing Director, Monte Carlo Yachts. "We intend to keep on growing and look forward to the next five years with excitement. We're considering the Super Yacht category next, which we feel to be the natural evolution of the design and product path we've taken".
The MCY 105 was presented at a private viewing event for the press and key partners at the Arsenale in Venice. The MCY 105 was the star of a water parade that saw the other models in the MCY collection come together to introduce the newest addition to their number.
Projections on a water screen, light shows and laser displays provided the special effects in the magical setting of the Arsenale that over its centuries-long history of craftsmanship and excellence has always been synonymous with innovation and heritage, values that MCY has shared from its very beginnings.
"We began this journey with a mission to redefine the concept of luxury in yachting, and a promise of delivering the very best that Italian genius is able to". Says Carla Demaria, President, Monte Carlo Yachts. "Five years later we're back in the great city of Venice where it all started, and we're proud to say we have met those promises, and gone beyond them. But this is just one milestone, the first, of a new era for Monte Carlo Yachts".
Following the Venice preview, the MCY 105 will be on show at the Cannes Yachting Festival (September 8 - 13), the Monaco Yacht Show (September 23 - 26), and the Genoa International Boat Show (September 30 - October 5).
