Global Summit of Superyacht Trade Associations
Representatives from international associations and countries including Australia, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Italy, the USA and the Isle of Man gathered before the opening of METSTRADE 2015 to discuss collaboration on global challenges facing the Superyacht industry, yacht operators and yacht crew.
"It was an unqualified success," said Ken Hickling, immediate past President of the International Superyacht Society and alliance convener, "This has been a very productive session thanks to all of those in the industry who found time to attend."
The Summit included addressing the factors limiting vessel availability for charter as well as considering ways to enhance the experience of yacht owners and guests on board. The group also received an update on the Professional Yachting Association's GUEST qualification programme for interior crew.
Andrew Schofield and Joey Meen of the Professional Yachting Association were delegates at the Summit.
The next global Superyacht industry Summit will be in Monaco, prior to the Yacht Show in September.
