METSTRADE 2016 Expands Capacity and adds new Hall

RAI Amsterdam has designed a range of layout changes to this year’s METSTRADE Show, including the addition of a new hall.

The organisers’ goal is to ensure that the growing number of exhibitors and visitors get the most of the event. Successful features such as the SuperYacht Pavilion and Marina & Yard Pavilion will expand and extra facilities will be put in place to facilitate networking at the world’s leading leisure marine equipment trade show.

METSTRADE 2016 will run from 15 to 17 November in the RAI Amsterdam convention centre and over three quarters of the exhibition floor is already booked.

A record number of almost 22,000 visitors came to Amsterdam from around the world to attend the 2015 edition of the METSTRADE Show and meet almost 1400 exhibiting companies. The capacity of this premier B2B platform for leisure marine equipment industry professionals will now be further increased to ensure it has the facilities to match.

SuperYacht Pavilion expands to two halls

The three-day event required this square-metre growth in part due to the ongoing expansion of the SuperYacht Pavilion (SYP), which will now take over the entire span of Halls 10 and 11.

Exceptional Marinahub

The Marina & Yard Pavilion (MYP) has also enjoyed significant growth over recent years and at METSTRADE 2016 will be organised in parallel with the ICOMIA World Marinas Conference from 17 to 19 November.  With this in mind, the MYP will move to Hall 5 to be next to the conference location in the RAI’s new Amtrium building. The synergy between the pavilion and conference will offer another exceptional reason for marina professionals to visit Amsterdam and the METSTRADE Show.

New location for InnovationLAB and DAMEpresentation

The third dynamic pavilion at METSTRADE, the Construction Material Pavilion (CMP), will stay in the Elicium building. This will allow it to be closely connected to the Material Experience, an exhibition by the global network Materia of materials that could add considerable value to the maritime sector. Meanwhile, the successful Innovation LAB concept and stage will move to Hall 6, where it will form a central innovation hub together with dedicated presentations of the winning and nominated products for the prestigious DAME Design Award.

And the famous Sushi Bar...

Two of the bustling social areas of METSTRADE will also have fresh locations. The VIP lounge will move to the Europe Foyer in order to optimise the space, design and service offered to visitors. And the hugely popular Sushi Bar moves to Hall 7 where the mix of good food and productive contacts will be even better than ever. Last but not least, the Organisers Office will also be expanded in order to ensure it has the capacity to continue to run this large show and provide exhibitors and visitors alike with the exceptional service for which RAI Amsterdam is renowned.
