New Nautical Storybook ‘Sail Away with Anna Cabanna’ Inspires Sustainability
Calling all future sailors! Sail Away with Anna Cabanna, a nautical storybook for children, has been released. Written by the Monaco-based yachting business consultant, Marcela de Kern Royer, the book teaches the basics of sailing through engaging storytelling accompanied by beautiful illustrations by the Mumbai-based artist, Neha Patil.
Combining technical terms with plenty of adventure, Sail Away with Anna Cabanna brings together important life values, as well as teaching respect for the sea and is aimed at the next generation of oceanographers, meteorologists, sailors and dreamers. Join Anna Cabanna on her fun-filled sailing lessons with her friend Noah Balboa and Maurice the Wise Mouse – who teaches them to sail – then go on a journey with her as she puts those lessons into practice on her first-ever sailing adventure.
More than just a storybook, it’s an activity book too, coming complete with a sailing logbook for children to record all of their adventures, and a section called ‘Speak like a Sailor’ which includes a glossary of nautical terms and seafaring expressions. Following the sustainability values of the Principality of Monaco to protect our oceans and l’art de vivre le mer’ (enjoying the sea sustainably), this made-in-Monaco book inspires the next generation to love the sea, but to do so responsibly.
Sail Away with Anna Cabanna includes a strong message to future generations worldwide, aiming to spark the change and action we need to fight climate change. “When reading Sail Away with Anna Cabanna, I was transported away from reality and immersed into her beautiful world and exciting adventures. I read it to my children, but I actually learned a lot for myself!” says Viktoria T, mother of four year old, Monaco.
The book is available to purchase online as a hardback on Lulu.com and in a paperback version on Amazon worldwide, with a Kindle version also available – perfect for filling those stockings in time for Christmas.
