Securewest: Maritime Security Incidents 12-18 August 2019

During the reporting period 12 - 18 August 2019, the Securewest Global Response Centre (GRC) recorded three maritime related incidents :
12 August 2019
Robbery - Barge towed by the tug PERMATA 1 was robbed in Singapore Starit, approximately 9nm WSW of the Port of Singapore.
Hijacking - MV was hijacked in the vicinity of Lome, Togo, exact position unknown.
14 August 2019
Boarding -Berthed supply vessel was boarded in Port of Onne, Nigeria.
Attack - LPG Tanker JOSEPH WISDOM was attacked, approximately 86 nm ESE of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
15 August 2019
Kidnapping - Bulk carrier VICTORY C was attacked, nine crew members were kidnapped approximately 14nm SW of Port of Douala, Cameroon.
Kidnapping - Eight crew members were kidnapped from a general cargo vessel MARMALAITA at Port of Douala Anchorage, Cameroon.
17 August 2019
Attack - MV was attacked approximately 49nm SE of Brass, Nigeria.
