General Information & Marina Services
Marina del Este has a privileged location in a natural bay, between the mountains and the sea. Its 227 berths wait to welcome boats up to 35 m in length. Alongside the marina is a highly professional and longstanding boatyard that can manage any repairs.
The natural marine reserve of the La Herradura bay is a UNESCO world heritage site, renowned for its pristine waters and variety of sealife that divers come from far and wide to experience. Professionals are on hand to supply equipment and diving lessons.
This coastline's name - la Costa Tropical - gestures towards Marina del Este's balmy climate, the bay is sheltered from the north by the Sierra Nevada, enjoying sun all year round. La Herradura is a typical Andalucian town of charming whitewashed houses sloping down to the marina with wonderful views out to sea. Many inviting restaurants serve up Mediterrranean and Italian dishes, whilst fresh fish is always top of the menu.
The waterfront promenade stretches forth enticing you for an after-dinner stroll, reaching the sandy beach which extends for another 2 km to the rocky outpost of Peñón del Lobo.
