General Information & Marina Services
The “Porto Carlo Riva” marina of Rapallo is currently one of Italy’s most efficient and prestigious marinas, and is the fruit of twenty years of commitment by its creator, who has always believed in it, notwithstanding the technical and, above all, bureaucratic difficulties.
Born between the boats and the boatyards, and heir to that notion of nautical perfection that has always been the standard of the Rivas of Sarnico, Carlo has been, to all intents and purposes, the pioneer of leisure sailing in Italy. Following the example set by Pierre Canto, the creator of the harbour at Cannes, as far back as 1971, Carlo Riva was inspired to recreate that pearl of the Côte D’Azure in the Gulf of Tigullio.
An ambitious plan, worthy of the long standing Italian tradition of sailing, driven by tenacity, by experience and, above all, by passion and the desire to get things done.
Thus, on 26 July 1975, the first Italian tourist marina was born.
But, in the end, the “Porto Carlo Riva” marina, unanimously acclaimed as the "drawing room" of international sailing, went from being simply a dream to becoming a reality.
A facility capable of housing 400 vessels from 6 to 40 metres long, in addition to the transit moorings and the 500 boat moorings created in the public harbour.
