Azimut Flybridge Collection Expands With New Azimut 50.

The 16-metre yacht has arrived, brimming with Azimut appeal and quality and will make her official debut at boat shows this autumn.

Family feeling is foremost. In the wake of the Azimut 80's great success this past season, the little sister makes her entrance; she is just 16-metres, yet resembles her bigger sibling in both style and spirit.

The hand behind it all is unmistakeably that of Stefano Righini. In this case, what really stands out are the large mirrored windows and three classic vertical windows at the hull. At 17.5 m2, the unending fly extends towards the stern, perfectly complementing the hull silhouette.

It is equipped with a rollbar with the possibility of hard top.

The arrival of this new Flybridge Collection model (making its official debut in boat shows this autumn) signals another step forward in the revamping of the Azimut Yachts line. Elegance, innovation, and craft quality: the 50' model's DNA contains everything that has always set the Avigliana brand apart.  

As for the exteriors, the wide bow area deserves special attention. It it is unique in its class to be equipped with a bench for six people, in addition to the sunpad. The tenderlift has net capacity of 380 kg and is included in the standard equipment.

Carlo Galeazzi designed the interiors, creating a boat whose secret weapon includes its surprising interior spaces.

The living area is below the central superstructure and is a natural extension of the cockpit, but the separation between the two spaces, marked by a two segments door is well defined. The large window in the saloon further adds to the unique sensation of being completely immersed in the marine landscape.

Immediately upon entering, on the right, there is a lounge area with a large C-shaped sofa and coffee table facing the wall retractable TV screen. The material selection exudes class and comfort: with dark stained or pickled oak and elegant ivory and brown fabrics.

Further towards the bow is the pilot station, and on the left, the dining area.   As per Azimut Yachts tradition, the pilot station is the perfect blend of sportiness and elegance, in this case with an extraordinary 360° water view.

The dining area comfortably seats six and its elevated position makes for a breath-taking view. Every detail is designed to allow maximum functionality, starting with the numerous solutions for storage and cup holders everywhere.

The kitchen is intelligently located on the lower deck. While it does not face directly out onto the dining and living area, it is immediately adjacent, just four steps away. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a four-hob glass ceramic cooktop, ventilation hood, microwave oven, 220-litre refrigerator, and plenty of cabinets and lockers for food storage and dishware.

In the sleeping area, the owner suite is amidships and takes full advantage of the hull's 4.6-metre beam. As in all areas in the lower deck heights are important and provide maximum comfort. The double bed is prominently placed with natural light taking centre stage as it pours in the side wall windows and operable skylights.

This cabin's special features include a spacious vestibule, usable square metres and large storage area for clothing and baggage with large built-in drawers and two large closets, one with drawers and the other for hanging. On the left, there is a convenient vanity and the entrance to the owner's private bathroom.

The bathroom is quite large for its class and includes a roomy standalone shower enclosure.

The VIP cabin is in the bow, with the usual V-shaped plan and a large double bed. Entering the central hallway, there is a surprising sense of spaciousness thanks to the skilful lighting and carefully selected furnishing colours.

The bed flips up to reveal a convenient storage compartment, a significant amount of found space for baggage storage. Towards the stern, there is direct access to the second bathroom. This one is also quite sizeable, with a separate shower enclosure and, as always, a spectacular glass sink that stands out against the countertop.

There is also a third cabin designed for guests that can also be used for younger crew members. This cabin is on the starboard side, with an entrance from the hallway, and has overlapping berths. Upon request, it is also possible to have a crew cabin in the stern. Access is directly from the cockpit, with a single bed and dedicated bath.

Finally, it is important to mention the superior performance of the new Azimut 50 which is equipped with two 670 HP Volvo Penta D11 engines with shaft-mounted transmission. Maximum speed is 32 knots, while cruising speed (for total comfort) averages 26 knots.

The utmost in construction quality, with vinylester resin for the exterior laminations, guaranteed osmosis-free for five years. Isophthalic resin is used for the remaining laminations. The bulwarks and superstructure use a high-performance PVC core sandwich. 

The bulkheads are made using a sandwich of marine wood and expanded material. The keel deadrise is 12° at the stern.
